TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — What It Is

TabTrade.com went live in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, that range is not narrow.

The Software

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders prefer it after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be coming. That should be a good addition once it is live.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits beginners.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is the area where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Few brokers with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. The broker is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.

The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you commit.
